Quality product – just be careful over hard floors

They seem very high quality. A good size for a smaller than average man’s hand. Nice carrying pouch. I like the weight for the hand exercise, but be careful on expensive tile floors. I think these would crack a ceramic tile if they were dropped on it. Best for use over carpeted floors or outdoors, or with caution around brittle floors.

    Great for hand therapy

My OT had me use these after about 3 months of therapy for a TFCC tear in my wrist. I wanted the size & weight she used. These are perfect: the size and weight are enough to get a work out of all the hand extensors in about a minute per hand.

    Perfect for a newcomer

I’d never even used Baoding balls before but I tried this pair based on good reviews and I’m very happy with my purchase. They’re surprisingly heavy in your palm, but perfectly round and shiny. It gives them a high quality look at feel. I’m using them all the time, and they’re nice to have around.

These have surpassed my expectations. They provide a tremendous relief for Carpal Tunnel

These are fantastic. As a sufferer of Carpal Tunnel, these are great for finger numbness relief and helping to restore the dexterity in my fingers. A little heaver than I expected but works out perfect. I have bought another pair of these so I can walk and do both hands at the same time.

Balls of Steel! (Duke Nukem Says it Best!)

Balls of Steel is what I wanted and got! Just what I expected, heavy and big! I thought at first the price was just too much but couldn’t find anything as heavy and didn’t want any sounds when rotated. The carry pouch is a nice addition. If you have small hands, you might not like these! If given a choice, I would have opted for 1.25″ I have big hands and still would like a bit smaller set.

    They work!

I bought these for my wife who has arthritis in her thumb joints. She has used them for a couple of months now and she can feel a big improvement in the strength of her hands and fingers and the pain in her thumb joints for the most part is gone. There is no more hand stiffness in the mornings when she first wakes up. She is a firm believer in these exercise balls.

These little balls are amazing! I first saw them brings used Jean Reno in León; The Professional. And most recently in the new Netflix film, Extraction. They look pretty sick! But I’m all seriousness, so they help with stress and hope they help w my arthritis in the long run! I can feel my muscles getting tired after a few minutes. They also help me concentrate when I’m on work calls by keeping away from checkin my phone!

    Great balls!!

I have used this many years ago when I was practicing martial arts, specifically Kung_Fu. We used these to strengthen our hands and improve dexterity, they are amazing for that. But as the years have passed and I moved on I forgot about these until recently when I started to get arthritics. I’ve been using these to help and they do seem to make my fingers less painful and keep the swelling down, and as an added bonus my grip is a lot stronger.I highly recommend these. Very good quality.

    Exactly as advertised

Exactly as advertised. I used these balls (not the Top Chi ones) in hand therapy and they seemed to help a lot—–I had thumb joint replacement. I decided to order some for at home to continue working on strength and dexterity and was happy with these as they are heavy enough to work on strength. I love the little bag as it keeps them from rolling around when stored but is compact for travel or storage. I keep them in the end table by the recliner in my living room so I can use them while watching TV.

Great for mobility improvement and pain reduction

At first it was hard for me to maneuver them in my hands. I have lots of pain in my left hand and a occupational therapist suggested I try these. And a week later it is much easier and my hand although it may feel sore after doing my exercises, it feels much better longer during the day and into the night. I will keep doing my exercises and hope for more improvement. The coolness also feels really nice on my hands.

    Pretty Much As Advertised

There are two balls, each of which weighs about a half pound – so 225 g. It’s a comfortable weight, a satisfying weight. I feel I’ve gotten something of value.Of course what I’ve gotten is a couple of solid steel balls. They have a bright metallic finish that makes them look pleasant. The size that I bought – 1.5 inches – is a bit large for my hand, but I’m told as you exercise with them this will improve. These are a reasonable solution if you’re looking for some baoding balls. Note that since they are solid, they do not chime as some others do.Would buy again; would recommend.

    Great Balls 🙂

Nice size and weight – just as described. These balls roll against each other with very little friction which is my preference. I use them for rehab on an injured hand plus strength/dexterity drills for both hands. Working the balls has a mild effect of reducing arthritic pain and stiffness as well. I found it amazing how much concentration it takes to use these – and that just a minute is enough to generate mild fatigue in the hand. Many persons going through hand rehab or simply with stiff, arthritic hands can benefit by just a minute or two in each hand per day.Using the balls will leave a slight metallic smell on your hands, but this is not a flaw – just a result of the chemistry of your skin in warm, extended contact with the material. The pouch is a big winner for me as the perfect way to keep the balls together in a very compact space easy to keep next to your easy chair or elsewhere. These are great boading balls with a very handy little felt contain pouch.

    good balls

I thought that stainless steel was not magnetic, BUT, I guess there is Magnetic stainless steel!! I didn’t know. I also read that stainless steel usually has a satin finish, not as shiny as chrome. I don’t know if these balls are chromed stainless, or just really highly polished? I can read newspaper print in the reflection !! they seem solid, and very heavy !! After using them for the last several days, I am delighted. My hands feel much better, I have had far less incidents of “Trigger Finger” and far less pain from my arthritis. they really work well!! After doing more research, I am confident that they are really well made and solid stainless steel, with high polish. thank you

    Solid and awesome

I like how dense these are. It helps to do the exercises with something like this. Not sure why stretch was a star review option as steel balls shouldn’t stretch. So a 5 for not stretching like it shouldn’t? The container is also thankfully not stretchy. It’s like a thick soft felt type that doesn’t seem to be worn out by being in my bag everyday and tossed around occasionally. These balls have been helpful to other people in my office suffering arm/wrist/hand pain and anxiety. I wish the case was a bit shorter so the balls weren’t so far apart at rest.

Comes with free pair of Baoding balls on baodingballs.com

The balls themselves are a bit small for me (they are more like mini shot puts). They are pretty heavy so know what you’re getting yourself into. For me, they give me a decent finger and wrist workout while I’m watching TV or whatnot. There is a promotion for this on baodingballs.com that made me pull the trigger on this purchase. Basically you purchase this, submit the amazon order number on the webpage, then they ship it to you when the amazon purchase ships. However, the free pair they sent me was the wrong design. Since it was still the right size, I decided to let it go.Overall, good product but I wouldn’t have paid ~$20 for it if there wasn’t a buy one get one free promotion.

Great for therapy after wrist surgery

After I had surgery on my wrist, my physical therapist made me work with the Baoding balls to increase the mobility of my fingers and hand. She told me to twirl the balls in the palm of my right hand for 2 minutes in a clockwise direction. Why clockwise? Because it is easier — the opposite is true for the left hand. These balls are like the ones the therapist uses, and I got them to practice at home. I am now working on the counter-clockwise direction with my right hand. It is very satisfying to see the progress. Interestingly, in the movie The Caine Mutiny, Captain Queeg (Humphrey Bogart) is shown playing with Baoding balls in stressful situations. If you want to see what the pros can do with Baoding balls, watch some Youtube videos!

Overall, okay buy, only for beginners

Off the bat these baoding balls seem like a nice little toy to keep around, but them you start to use them. They don’t really glide as well as you would expect and it seems that you need some type of lubrication so that they glide around each other better. And yes this is my first set, but upon my thought, these aren’t something that you could pull off a lot of tricks with. I did get some use out of them, but I did drop them a few times, and unfortunately they got a small chip, we obviously won’t let you sustain the true enjoyment of this product if they are not perfect spherical shapes. An okay buy for beginners

When I first got these, I thought, “how am I ever going to be able to use these in my smaller fatter hands?” I was very skeptical.
