Charmian Women’s Steampunk Spiral Steel Boned Vintage Retro Corset Tops Bustier

I love this one so much. I ordered 4 corsets of various brands and this one was the one I was looking forward to the most and it did not disappoint. The little purse pockets really are pockets! They really do hold things which is super exciting for me. I got this corset for a concert that I’m going to this summer and I really wanted pockets to put things in so this corset is perfect. The pockets are small though, they don’t really hold even a pack of cigarettes, but they’d be perfect for ID cards and some cash and maybe lip gloss or a small mirror.As for sizing. I got the 2XL and it fits me wonderfully. I wear about a 36A bra (when I can find them), my natural waistline directly below my ribs is about 31 maybe 32 inches, a couple weeks ago across my belly button I measured at 36 inches and my hips across the fullest part of my rear is 44 inches so I’ve got some curves. As much as I hate how scary it is to buy a 2XL when I don’t feel like I’m big, I went a head and got over my ego and bought the 2XL and it’s the perfect size for me. It was kinda loose across the bottom of the corset, but that might have been because I didn’t tighten it all the way (It was the 4th corset I’d put on to take pictures of for reviews in a short period of time so I was a tad tired of tightening laces).There is a decent sized modesty panel, so even if your measurements are bigger than mine, it should still fit well. Only issue I would see with that is the attachments (cross-chest strap and the pockets) may not have long enough straps, but it should be ok since there is no further adjustment in the corset between the clip on points.Overall the material seems fine. I’m a tad worried about the zipper won’t hold up but that shouldn’t be too hard to replace if it does give out on me. Best suggestion for that, make sure that you fully loosen the laces prior to putting it on. Zip it up then tighten the laces. Speaking of the laces, this one has a fairly sturdy shoelace style lace that seems like it will hold up.It’s a little difficult to to reattach the clips on the left side after zipping up the corset, so if you’re not flexible, you might need help with putting on the cross-chest strap and little pockets. I didn’t think about it when I was trying it on, maybe it’d be easier to clip everything on the right side after putting it on….maybe not the pockets since those still clip more towards the back.The over jacket part is really neat. It’s a little odd, I’ve never had an article of clothing shaped like that before. It’s really loose on the neck part for me, but I have a small neck. It might be a little restrictive across the shoulders if you try to reach both arms forward, but not too bad, just enough to notice the cloth holding your arms slightly back.Overall, I love it. It’s perfect for why I bought it. and it fits me so well. I’m definitely happy about this order*edit* I’ve worn the corset for going out it, and it’s amazing. I could have probably gotten away with ordering an XL instead of the 2XL because I can fully tighten the corset and it’s still a touch loose on me.

It’s made very well. Got this for Ren Faire for my daughter (I’m writing the review because she doesn’t have an Amazon account). She’s 5’3 and approx 210-220lb and a 34C. I would say she’s more of an apple shape. The measurements didn’t even fit her numbers, she was basically off the charts, but we decided to go for it and ordered the 6X. She was waayyy to small for the bust, and the jacket was too big and choking her, and even tho the corset visually fit her it still wasn’t right. Sent it back and decided to order two sizes smaller and it fits great! Bust works for her, and I almost got it as tight as it would go but will loosen it for actual wear. She was just trying it on to see if it would even fit her. It looks great!! If I can, I’ll get pics and write another review after she wears it to the faire.

I ordered this using the size chart, and I apologize girl-splaining, but when they say chest size, they mean your bra size plus the actual breast size. I’m a 38C, so needed to size up to a corset that will accommodate a 41” chest.Take the number from your bra size then add accordingly. If you’re an A cup, add an inch to your rib size. If you’re a B cup, add 2”. C cup? Add 3”. Etcetera. Remember, the corset will lift your girls, so just pulling out the tape measure may not work (especially if you’ve had children). I’m a curvy girl (38, 25, 40) started with a XXL, exchanging for a XXXXL which sounds huge for a woman who comfortably wears medium/large t-shirts depending on the shirt cut, but I’m a bit busty and have ribs. You can’t shrink bone structure.Make sure you order large enough to accommodate your largest circumference (breast, belly, or if the corset is long, hips), you can use the lacing to cinch in for the smaller bits. Well fitting corsets are more complimenting and comfortable than ones that are too small.The corset material does not stretch, you get your extra room from the lacing. The zipper is on the side and there is no safety material so you’re better off sizing up so you don’t get your skin caught in the zipper (ow!). I squeezed into mine by loosening the laces as far as they would go but my cups overfloweth, so I’m going up two sizes (though I have two corsets from this vendor in XL that fit perfectly once properly laced). I’m also using primarily for a costume, not the bedroom, so I want to look good without looking gross.The corset itself is well made, high quality, a beautiful and seemingly durable product, even if the sizing is different from what you’d normally order. I love their styles and follow their store.I’ll say more and add pics once I get the proper size.

Nice material, fast delivery

I really like this bodice! Seems to be well made. Love that the jacket is separate. It has a zipper and back ties so you can put it on by yourself…although I’d honestly just prefer ties. Worked well for a steampunk pirate costume.
